Turn Things Around is the 10th episode in airing order of Season 3 of Strawberry Shortcake: Berry in the Big City. It premiered on September 9th, 2023.
Summary[]
When Huck and Bread make a thoughtful but unappetizing Stone Soup, Strawberry and the gang come to the rescue to save their meal. (Musical)
Plot[]
The episode begins with the girls tiredly returning from a three hour hike. A loud growl spooks Lime and she jumps into Blueberry's arms thinking it's a bear. Lemon walks by and admits it was her stomach since she's starving. Hearing this, Bread announces that he and Huck prepared dinner. Huck says the dinner is stone soup, a recipe his Grammy Pie Crust taught him. The girls are happy at first before Huck pulls out a spoonful and they all gag. Raspberry states it looks like "dog flavored water" before offering to cook dinner in the RV. Before she can walk any further Bread stops her and nervously says that there's no food left. Raspberry snaps and starts flailing Bread around asking what they were thinking. Huck says that they thought it would taste good eventually if they just kept adding food in. Raspberry starts to panic as she believes that "it's only a matter of time before we turn on each other for survival". However Strawberry is quick to deny this and reassures every berry that they'll be fine. She explains that they are in nature's grocery store and as long as they follow a guidebook they'll make it work. Seeing that every berry wasn't moved yet she starts to sing a song.
For the first part of the song she focuses on turning every berry's mood around and begins by putting a dandelion in. After the chorus the other berry's start singing as backup and separate. Blueberry and Huck start the second verse and are fetching roses. Blueberry even puts one in Huck's hair. Orange and Bread are fishing for salmon. Strawberry gathers berries. Lemon and Raspberry grab wild vegetables. It's night now and every berry races back to camp with something in hand. The song ends with Strawberry stirring the mixture with her lucky spoon.
Raspberry says it looks exactly the same to which Strawberry responds "I'm a baker not a wizard". Raspberry nervously takes a spoonful and admits that it's not that bad. Huck is excited and runs off to gather the ingredients for stone souffle, another one of his Grammy Pie Crust's recipes. The episode ends with Strawberry looking up to the night sky and thanking Grandberry Jam and Grammy Pie Crust.

References[]
- Stone Soup is a real-life European folktale that teaches the value of sharing. In the story, some hungry travelers with nothing but an empty pot visit a village and ask for food but are rejected by the citizens. The travelers then go over to a nearby stream and fill their pot with water and rocks. A curious villager asks them what they’re making, which they explain is stone soup, a delicious meal that they’d happily share if the villager can provide some ingredients, which they do. This repeats with other villagers, who add more and more food to the pot until the soup is done, and is then shared amongst the travelers and villagers, all of whom are delighted by the result.[1]
