The Big Apple City All-Skate Competition is the 29th episode in episode in airing order of Season 3 of Strawberry Shortcake: Berry in the Big City. It premiered on January 20th, 2024.
Summary[]
The day of the Big Apple City All Skate Competition is here! It's the moment Strawberry, Blueberry and Orange have been training for. Ready to show off their hard work and win the competition, a surprise throws their routine off.
Plot[]
The episode begins with Strawberry, Orange, and Blueberry gearing up for the competition as Strawberry says some last encouraging words. The three burst through the door all geared up and with new outfits. After they pass their friends, Kiki starts to talk about how it’s been quite a day and a wide variety of routines. Those being Apple Byte and Crepes Suzette, Caramela Ecalir playing the bagpipes, and the Pie Man promoting his pies. Kiki introduced the Strawberry, Orange, and Blueberry as the final team, The Berrykin Blossoms. Spot lights are shown on the three and Strawberry reassures them to stay calm and do everything right. They get in position but the music doesn’t start. Banoffee throws a drink at the sleeping DJ and their music starts. At first, everything is going well until the DJ falls asleep causing their music to suddenly change.
Strawberry and Orange stand frozen in fear but Blueberry reassures them not to worry and just go with the flow. Strawberry suggests they “flow” over to get the DJ to correct the music and the three skate over to him. The DJ awakens but loses his glasses and changes their music to hard rock. Blueberry tells them to go with it and begins to improve moves. She pushes Orange and Strawberry to continue and they attempt to. In attempts to retrieve his glasses the music changes to a retro robotic type. Again the girls try to match the music but once it turns off Orange and Strawberry collapse on one another. Seeing them Blueberry laughs and tells them to at least admit it is kind of funny. The music changes once more, this time to a Scottish type with bagpipes. The two laugh, get up, and start dancing with Blueberry. Caramela skates onto stage with her bagpipes which causes the music to change country. Aunt Praline passes a cowboy hat to Strawberry and she leads the group in a dance. After getting his glasses the music changes back to their song and the girls finish.
In cutaways the girls say how much of a mess it was yet it was still so much fun. Kiki KeyLime then announces the winner as the Berrykin Blossoms. The girls are shocked by the fact and Kiki compliments how they were in the flow. The episode ends with Blueberry saying it was amazing and the three embracing in a hug.
