Strawberry and the Gigantic Cake is the 3rd episode in airing order of Season 3 of Strawberry Shortcake: Berry in the Big City. It premiered on July 22, 2023.
Summary[]
Strawberry Shortcake and Raspberry Tart race across Big Apple City to deliver a 15-layer cake in time for Banoffee's birthday party.
Plot[]
Strawberry Shortcake and Raspberry Tart decorate a cake with various toppings. Once they are done, the screen shows a tall, 15 layered cake as both girls expresses their excitement of celebrating Banoffee's birthday at the Berryworks' Greenhouse and that they are put in charge of baking the cake. Raspberry starts the think that the cake is too big, but the reason why it's so tall is because Crabapple Jam told them that the bigger the cake, the better, which raises doubts for Raspberry. Strawberry tries to dispel her friend's doubts only to be proven wrong when Cheese Strudel and Cherry Streusel informs the girls that the birthday party has been moved to the Cumin Time Museum and tells them that they only have 20 minutes to bring the cake there.
At the museum, Crabapple assures Banoffee that they know how important the party is and to not worry about them. While the rest of Strawberry's friends wonders where the two are, both Raspberry and Strawberry are rushing to the museum and loses the top layer of the cake. Raspberry tries to get it back, but was told to leave it if they want to go to the museum in time. A montage plays of the two running place to place while losing layers of the cake in various locations. Banoffee starts to worry about their absence and the twins passes her and a few other people to whisper something to Crabapple. Orange Blossom notices this.
Another montage plays of them dropping and losing the layers of the cake one by one. When the two girls stop at the Lean Green Community Garden to catch their breath, Everything Bagel, Jelly Roll and the other kid are in awe of the cake and starts chasing after them, two layers of the cake drops onto the hands of the kids. The girls also encounter an ostrich who eats a layer of the cake and chases after them for more. After managing to lose the kids and the ostrich from chasing them, they finally arrive to the party with only one layer remaining of the cake.
Crabapple expresses her disappointment in the two for delivering an "incomplete" cake and Strawberry tries to make up a reason why they came with a cake like this and notices her friends at the entrance of the museum holding the layers of the cake that they dropped. Strawberry explains to her saying that she would appreciate a dramatic entrance for the cake as her friends reassemble the cake with its layers. Because for Banoffee, the presentation matters, the crowd applauses the presentation. Orange tells the audience that it wasn't hard to figure out what happened as they left layers of the cake all over the city and her friends helped to retrieve them all. Crabapple acts nice and pretends to appreciate that they can accomplish anything they can set their mind to.
