Trivia
- Perfect Holiday was nominated for four awards in 2024, one for the Canadian Cinema Editors’ Awards and three for the Leo Awards. giving the special the highest number of award nominations in the franchise.
- Perfect Holiday won Best Musical Score in an Animated Program in the 2024 Leo Awards, becoming the first Strawberry Shortcake installment to win an award.
- This special and the Beast of Berry Bog special are the only two Berry Big Specials to have promotional images on Wildbrain's catalogue website before it got refreshed with actual model images. [3]
- We learn that Raspberry Tart does not like Winterswirl, due to her parents' busy careers meaning they rarely, if ever, were able to spend time with her on the holiday.
- It is revealed that The Peculiar Purple Pieman and Johnnycake Cobbler are brothers.
- This is the first instance of magical elements being present in the series.
- Meg Roe does not voice Sour Grapes in this special, with Tabitha St. Germain taking over the role. The reason for this is unknown.
- The differences between their performances is most obvious with their singing. Meg Roe's Sour Grapes sings more emotionally and louder than when she speaks (as can be heard in “Berry Best Friends Forever” or “Sweet and Sour”), while Tabitha St. Germain’s Sour Grapes sings in the same monotone as when she speaks (as can be heard in “The Best Time of the Year”).
- Some of the Berry Besties have changes to their holiday outfits, likely for easier modeling and animation.
- Raspberry wears a green holly headband instead of the pink ushanka she usually wears.
- Bread Pudding wears a cheesy Winterswirl sweater rather than his trenchcoat.
- Orange Blossom’s hat is missing the ear flaps and its orange wedge pattern
- Strawberry, Lemon, Lime, and Bread don’t have their gloves/mittens.
- Huckleberry is wearing his regular jacket instead of his winter jacket.
- Lime Chiffon doesn’t have her scarf.
Continuity
- Grandberry Jam is brought up by Strawberry and Aunt Praline, and is confirmed to be deceased due to them referring to her in the past tense.
- When Blueberry and Sour Grapes are shopping for the care package the camera passes a plush of Corny the Cob.
- Strawberry's lucky spoon potentially having supernatural properties is once again alluded to, as Cinnamon Swirl recognizes it when Strawberry shows it to her.
- Orange Blossom being a fan of Tangerine Smash is a major factor in her subplot, since she wants to decorate the Berryworks’ Winterswirl tree with her collection of Tangerine Smash ornaments.
- Raspberry Tart's parents leading busy lives, first mentioned in Strawberry Surprise, factors into her subplot for the special, as their frequent absence meant they always missed Winterswirl, causing Raspberry to resent the holiday. Them rarely having the time to even call Raspberry is also alluded to, though this time they finally call her near the end of the special.
