Strawberry Cobbler is a minor character in Strawberry Shortcake: Berry in the Big City. She is the mother of Strawberry Shortcake and Pineapple Cobbler, and Aunt Praline's older sister.
General Information[]
Strawberry Cobbler is Strawberry Shortcake's often-mentioned mother. She was first mentioned in Berry Bounty Banquet, and would be brought up throughout the series, however she never made a physical appearance until Strawberry Shortcake's Summer Vacation. She reunited with her daughter when she and her Berry Besties took a trip down to Berryville to visit.
The Strawberry family owns a berry farm, founded by the late Grandberry Jam. They appear to be the most influential members of Berryville's community, as Strawberry and Pineapple Cobbler were the ones helping organize the upcoming harvest, and their refusal to sell the farm to Boysenberry Mousse was the only thing keeping the other farmers from selling their land as well.
Appearance[]
Strawberry Cobbler is an adult woman with fair skin, green eyes, freckles on her cheeks, and long pink hair tied in a braid. She wears a yellow kerchief with a strawberry and white dot pattern tied around her head, a green-and-white striped shirt with a dark green collar and cuffs, her shirt sleeves end just below the elbows and have yellow buttons on the cuffs. She also wears red overalls with a flower graphic on her front pocket, and a yellow patch with the same pattern as her kerchief stitched on the left leg above the knee. She wears red farmer boots with a white collar and laces.
Personality[]
Strawberry Cobbler is optimistic and cheerful, like her daughter. Unlike Pineapple Cobbler and Apple Dumpling, she was friendly to Strawberry Shortcake's Berry Besties from the beginning.
Trivia[]
- Strawberry Cobbler is the first ever parent of Strawberry Shortcake in the entire franchise.
- If one follows the naming convention for berries in the series, Strawberry Cobbler's husband/Strawberry’s father would be named Pineapple Shortcake. It is unknown if her husband is deceased or separated from the family, as he is never mentioned.
