Sleeping Beauty is the twelfth episode Strawberry Shortcake's fourth season in the 2003 Series, it also in the DVD, Strawberry Shortcake: Happily Ever After with the Episode, A Princess Named Rap.
Plot[]
When the Brambleberry Fairy (Angel Cake) causes a problem that makes Princess Strawberry Rose (Strawberry Shortcake) fall asleep for hundreds of years, she realizes that she needs to find a way to reverse the problem.
Summary[]
Focus is on the fairy that didn’t get her invitation and stubbornly refuses to listen to the reason why. Hurt and angry, Brambleberry Fairy (Angel Cake) impulsively gives her terrible gift, then feels lonely and regretful after Princess Strawberry Rose gets pricked by a brambleberry thorn, falls asleep and her five fairy friends (Appleberry, Rainbowberry, Gingerberry, Tangerinaberry and Orangeberry) put the whole kingdom into a dream sleep until they can find a way to awaken the Princess. Lonely Brambleberry Fairy secretly watches the other fairies meet daily to try to reverse her gift, but not until Prince Huckleberry gives her a lesson in listening, does she finally decide to reverse her terrible gift. In doing so, she not only reawakens Princess Strawberry Rose and the whole kingdom, but learns to be a good friend.

- It is unclear why Angel Cake as the Brambleberry Fairy underwent such a drastic redesign, as she has darker skin and purple hair in the episode despite usually being a fair-skinned blonde.
Differences With The Book[]
- The characters are teenagers in the episode, while the book portrays them with their kid designs (and Apple Dumplin’ is still a baby rather than a kid)
- Brambleberry Fairy is portrayed by Blueberry Muffin in the book instead of Angel Cake.
- Angel Cake replaces Tangerine Torta in the book.
