Pumpkin Spice is a character who made her debut as a minor antagonist in the Strawberry Shortcake and the Beast of Berry Bog special. She is an internet star and is one of the initiators and exploiters of the Beast of Berry Bog rumor in the Fright Fall Fun Fair.
In Strawberry Shortcake's Spring Spectacular, she teams up with the The Peculiar Purple Pieman to stop Strawberry Shortcake from winning a flower festival competition and acts as the main antagonist in the special.
General[]
Pumpkin is a famous internet influencer with a large following and addresses her fanbase as the "Spice Squad". She visits the Fright Fall Fun Fair to leave a public review on it and leaves a negative rating not long after she arrived because of the Corny the Cob mascot. While visiting the Berryworks at night when the attack on the Fright Fall Fun Fair was a new event, she overhears the Berry Besties' conversation about the Beast of Berry Bog and records their whole conversation for the internet, starting the Beast of Berry Bog panic in Big Apple City. She was one of the few people in the Berryworks who exploited the situation for her own gain and was even suspected as someone who "summoned" the Beast, before her name was eventually cleared by the revelation of the real culprit near the end.
In "Spring Spectacular", she begins to promote random things on her Berrygram by pretending she loves them in order to gain new followers and maintain relevancy, when she could actually care less about the stuff she promoted. Pumpkin explained to Strawberry that "pumpkin spice" (either referring to herself or her namesake) is trendy in the fall, which drives a lot of attention to her during that time, but for the rest of the year she's pretty much ignored, so she began promoting stuff just so she'll keep getting attention, such as the upcoming Flower Festival. When Strawberry proves to be competiton in the parade float contest, she teams up with Purple Pieman in order to one-up Strawberry. When Strawberry decides to use Plum Pudding's new flower growth formula on the flowers for the Berryworks' parade float, Pumpkin grows envious and worried that they'll become a legitimate challenge to her. She and Pieman steal the formula and mix it with Pieman's artificial pie filling to create more of the formula. But when they test it on one of their flowers, it grows into monstrous vines that begin attacking Golden Delicious Park, and the Berryworks. Pumpkin realizes that due to the vines growing everywhere, no one knows the true culprit, covering herself in dirt and livestreaming on her Berrygram, acting like a scared victim and blaming Strawberry for the vines. Throughout the special she continues to slander Strawberry and put all the blame on her, until the vines suddenly disappear. Everyberry grows suspicious of Pumpkin, who tries to defend herself while still accusing Strawberry of being the culprit, even as evidence piles up against her and the Pieman. It isn't until Strawberry gets Pumpkin to slip up that she ends up admitting she was responsible for the vines while still live on Berrygram. Her audience quickly turns against her, and Pumpkin ends up losing all her popularity, much to her horror.
Appearance[]
Pumpkin has a pale complexion with freckles on her face and a teal eye color. She has orange hair styled up in a high bun with some blonde highlights in her hair and sidelocks. She wears a white, longsleeved turtleneck sweater with long orange pants complimented with a black belt with a gold buckle that has a pumpkin engraving on it. She also wears brown boots. Her accessories consists of a pair of white shades with orange lenses resting on her head and silver pumpkin stud earrings colored orange inside the silver outlines.
Personality[]
On the internet, Pumpkin appears as an lively and very dramatic person. She has a quirky tone of voice in her words for dramatic effect in her videos. Off camera, she is a self-centered and egotistical celebrity who cares little about the others around her in favor of her own stardom. Pumpkin will also not hesitate to go through controversial methods for views on her channel, such as eavesdropping or villainizing others. She greatly cares about her fame and channel traffic on the internet and is up to date with internet trends.

Pumpkin has yet to make any notable bonds with the other characters in the specials.

- Pumpkin Spice is a parody of “white girl influencers”, wearing a stereotypical “fall girl” outfit, being obsessed with social media fame, and her name itself is commonly stereotyped as being obsessed over by white women, particularly pumpkin spice lattes.
- Pumpkin is the first antagonist to receive a cutaway segment where she talks to the viewer. She is also the fourth instance where a non main character recieves a cutaway segment, with the previous being Cheesecake the mouse, Caramela Éclair, and Custard the cat.
- Pumpkin is the first character introduced in a Netflix special to appear in another special afterwards, debuting in Strawberry Shortcake and the Beast of Berry Bog and returning in Strawberry Shortcake's Spring Spectacular.
