Plum Puddin' is one of Strawberry Shortcake's closest friends and also one of the core members of the berry group. Originally Plum was a male character until being pulled from the series for a while until returning as a girl. In the specials his last appearance was the 2nd and he returned in the 5th.

Bio
Plum is a smart young child who likes testing her brain power by spending her time with mathmatical equations, reading, or simply exploring new things. She has a pet named Elderberry Owl, and lives in a big plum pie house.
Personality
Plum was the smart, educated friend of Strawberry Shortcake. Often she could be seen writing or working on calculations and when in doubt, would rely on a chalkboard or a calculator to check things. She was very cautious and thoughtful of her actions and liked to indulge on things that made her think.
Appearance
Originally, Plum was a pale skinned boy with thin black glasses and short blue hair that curled outward worn under a giant pale blue cap shaped like a nut with a plum on top. He wore a dark blue jacket with a pink bow-tie, striped shorts, long green and white striped socks, and yellow patched shoes.
In the Special, Plum looked generally the same but with dark colors and oddly enough, he looked to have a bigger head then the others some of the time.
When Plum returned, her short pale blue hair was now bright blue and worn in a bob-cut with a fashionable deep violet hat with a plum worn to the side. Her dark blue jacket now a short, puffed violet jacket with green and white striped bow, and her shorts became a lined pale purple dress. She kept the green and white striped socks but began to wear plain purple flats. Her glasses were now red.
In the specials she kept the thin black glasses and had much wilder hair until the berry next special. Her skin very pale and her eyes brown. Her colors were still very dark.
Other Outfits
- For her nightime attire, Plum wore a lilac night dress with a single dark purple line at the bottom of the dress on top of a white one, matching the frilly neck piece. She also wore a lilac frilly cap with a small dangly puff hanging from the end of it, and like the others, she wore the same green and white striped socks.
- She also has curly blue hair pulled back with a purple bow and white polka-dot print. She wears a purple blouse with lilac puff sleeves and a skirt, a green, white, and peach pantyhose, lilac maryjanes, and purple glasses.
- A white blouse with pale lilac skirt and a matching bow. Her pantyhose now dark purple and white stripe and shoes pale lilac. During the end credits, her hair grew somewhat and was styled straight.
- A dark purple top with frilled neck and lilac skirt with white on the bottom. On her head she wore a dark purple two-layered hat with a big striped bow on the side.
Gender Change
Many rumors surround Plum's true gender and why she originated as a boy, only to turn into a girl shortly after. The real, actual answer is really simple in fact.
Back when Strawberry Shortcake merchandise began selling, not too many people were purchasing male dolls due to a lack of interest and popularity. So after a year or so, all male Plum merchandise had been pulled from market and Plum had also been pulled from the Specials while the makers of Strawberry Shortcake went to work on fixing it.
Two years after vanishing, Plum returned as a cute girl just in time for the Party Pleasers line. When she returned in the specials, Strawberry explained that she was simply returning from a long vacation and they went to pick her up. They met her new friends, Peach Blush and Baby Needs A Name right after.

Trivia
- Plum seemed to be close to Raspberry before returning as a girl. They were often seen together before then but rarely after. Ironically though, while nothing of the sort is present in the second reboot, they are very close in the current one.
- Had Plum not changed, he would remain the 2nd and only other Berry Boy.
- In the series re-boots, Plum's last name was changed to "Pudding".
