Plum Puddin' is a minor character early in the franchise's history, but she became a main friend of Strawberry in 2009. In the 1980's TV specials, she had an owl named Elderberry and was male. Later, she was a female character. This first version of Plum was brainy and a scientist. She continued to be a nerd in the 2003 series but was much more clumsy. She was one of the last characters introduced in that generation and only had four episodes, and only two where she played an active role.
In Strawberry Shortcake's Berry Bitty Adventures, she is talented dancer and choreographer in Berry Bitty City and one of Strawberry Shortcake's best friends. She is more tomboy-ish and sporty. Plum is a happy, carefree girl who is very kind and funny. She can sometimes be a graceful ballerina, and other times very clumsy and awkward. Dancing is both her passion and way of life. She is always seen doing it at, or out of her studio, Sweet Beats Studio. She also enjoys other sports and has a very active lifestyle. She is voiced by Ashleigh Ball.
In Strawberry Shortcake: Berry in the Big City, Plum has been reverted to a male and is now part of a technology & innovation website called Fusionberry.
Personality
1980s
Plum Puddin is much more clearly a nerd in the 1980s version. Plum is very similar to the earlier, one time appearing character T.N. Honey and probably meant to replace her. But in a greeting card they are both shown together, with Plum giving T.N. Honey a valentine and crushing on her. Plum is described as a bookworm and budding scientist, as they are always Strawberry's scientific consultant. Great with numbers. Plum's girl version in the 80s is much more friendly, outgoing, and confident.
2007
In this series, not much is seen of Plum Puddin' and we don't get a big grasp of her personality. Apparently she is an intelligent nerd, but we don't see any actions that really show her as a nerd. She likes photography and reading, even though this is not expressed much in the show. She's wimpy, weak and hesitant, but still tries her hardest to help her friends. She couldn't pull the wand away from Gladys (Sour Grapes) in "Where The Gem Berries Glow", so she's obviously not strong and wouldn't have succeeded wihout the help of Strawberry, Peppermint, Orange, and Ginger Snap. She's a bit shy, introverted and a scaredy cat. But one of her most fatal flaws is she doubts herself. She's less useless than she seems and has the capability to be brave, if she just believes in herself. She must be creative and artsy since she wanted to be a photographer when she grows up.
2009
Plum Pudding is happy, energetic girl who is affectionate with her friends. She is eager to be kind and helpful, and always tries to help them, even if they're too stubborn to ask for help or insist they do not even need it. Such as, when she secretly got everyone (without Strawberry) to help Raspberry make her outfits when she was overworking herself, in A Stitch In Time. She's very friendly and kind, and always puts others before herself. However, she has a passion that can not be put out easily and as a result can be stubborn.
She enjoys sports, and music, and dancing. Thanks to Cherry Jam, she becomes a drummer.
Plum is also known to be silly, she laughs a lot and loves things like being a prankster and jokes. She could keep laughing, much like a hyena if given something super funny. However Plum does not overdo it, she tries to not make someone feel bad, should something funny happen to them. But she does try to use jokes to clear up the situation.
With the good comes the bad, negative traits. She lacks leadership skills and happens to be very competitive. As shown when the girls were going to perform in a dance-off and her lack of good judgement and intention to cut out the complicated dance made things very hard for the others and eventually forcing them to drop out with small causalities occurring to each of them due to practicing 24 hours a day. She also panics and gets nervous quickly, suggesting they run in the face of fear. She is also the first to whine in a situation.
2022
He has yet to be more fleshed out since he has only been featured in 2 episodes, Plum is very formal and polite. He loves technology as he hosts contests involving inventions and is very interested in what his fellow inventor friends and associates are making. He doesn't judge them as he knows that they are always trying their best when creating inventions and learning from it's mistakes.
He also eats food very quickly if he likes it.
Appearance
1980s
Plum Pudding first was a dainty and short boy with flipped out sky blue short hair, a purple hat with a plum on it, a purple cardigan with a pink bow tie, and purple short striped shorts over green and white leggings with brown loafers. Plum Pudding has very few appearances in Strawberry Shortcake as a male, which is what Plum started out as. Quite quickly, Plum transitioned a female with grown out hair into a light blue bob. She had much more confidence like this, and was often seen with Strawberry Shortcake's friends being more social than before. Plum's female outfit was basically the same, but the striped shorts was replaced with a purple pleated skirt. And instead of brown loafers she now donned cute purple Mary janes. Her bow tie was usually green now. Plum still kept her round framed glasses. She remained a girl in the other series, growing up and becoming more feminine.
2007
Plum's skin is slightly tanner in this form. She has orchid-grape purple hair with lime green highlights in her hair that is tied into two small pigtails while worn with the rest of her hair down. Her ponytail holders have small plums on them. She wears green framed glasses, wears a lime green 3/4 sleeved button up shirt alongside a purple and lavender checkered sweater vest while wearing purple jeans with a plum design on both sides at the bottom with lime green crew socks and purple Mary Janes with a plum design in the middle of her shoes. She is slightly taller than her friends and slender. She is flat chested.
2009
Plum is fair-skinned girl with long purple hair. Her hair is tied into a ponytail with a blue scrunchie with two plums on them, and her face is framed by loose bangs. When her hair is down, it is perfectly straight and in her face. Her eyes are in a similar hue and her lip gloss is pink. She is the most feminine in this form, and older than in 2007 and 1980.
Plum's usual outfit is a lavender dress with a ruffled skirt like bottom and a pastel blue layer beneath it with a lavender mid-length cardigan with a plum button and two small pastel blue ribbons. She wears purple and white striped tights and as she is a dancer/choreographer wears lavender leg warmers and purple ballet flats with a plum design at the top of her foot and purple soles.
Only for parties, Plum usually puts on a purple dress with layered pastel blue and lavender hems, lavender elbow gloves, and a glitzy wire-styled silver tiara with amethyst-colored plum designs.
During winter, Plum wears a long lavender coat with turquoise fur trim at the hem, neck, and cuffs. Her gloves or mittens are lavender. She kept her same stockings and adds snow-themed purple boots with pastel blue fur trim on top. Another winter outfit she wears consists of a lavender coat with fur trim, lavender gloves, and purple and white striped stockings.

Trivia
- According to a greeting card, Plum has a crush on T.N. Honey.
- Plum does not have a pet in 2007.
- In the Wizard of Oz AU in the DVD Berry Brick Road, she was the good witch queen, and her sister the Wicked Witch, was Sour Grapes. Though they have the same hair color, they probably are not related in reality.
