Peppermint's Pet Peeve is the second episode of the 2003 Series' second season, and the second story segment in the "Best Pets Yet" compilation.
Plot[]
Strawberry Shortcake and her friends enroll their pets into a talent show, but Peppermint Fizz resorts to sabotaging the rest so she could win, but this plan blows up on her.
Summary[]
Peppermint Fizz, an outsider in Strawberry Land, doesn't have any human friends so she is very attached to her pet. She gets offended when the other girls say their pet is the best. She surely thinks her pet Cola, her only friend, is the best, and she will cheat to prove it. Conniving Peppermint Fizz talks the other kids into a competition to see whose pet is best. She sabotages a pet talent show. But she is surprised when the other kids don't care who won. They just wanted to have fun with their pets, and then Peppermint understands, because she loves her pet Cola too!

- Custard the cat and Pupcake the dog were to do a dance, but someone damaged their shoes.
- Marmalade the butterfly was to play her harp, but someone damaged the strings and she wound up destroying the harp instead.
- Vanilla Icing the sheep played a trombone, which was rigged with gum that got into her wool when she tried to play.
- Shoofly the frog did some tap-dancing, but the floor was slippery which ruined his performance.
- Chocolate Chipmunk the chipmunk attempted magic, but his scarf ended up pulling his body into the hat.
- Cola Chameleon attempted to lip sync a Frank Sinatra-oriented song but the track warped due to Pupcake breaking the tape deck
