Parfait is a parrot who is owned by Lime Chiffon in the 80s specials and the 2021 series, Berry In The Big City.

1980s[]
Parfait is shown as one of the pets brought to the pets parade in Strawberry Shortcake: Pets on Parade, being carried by his owner, Lime Chiffon. He is later one of the contestants in the talent show.
Berry in the Big City[]
Parfait returns along with his owner for Strawberry Shortcake: Berry in the Big City. Like the other returning pets, Parfait is given a much bigger role, with several episodes focusing on him and the pets as they team up to help their owners, from helping everyberry remember Custard's birthday to foiling the Purple Pieman's schemes.
Parfait also demonstrates more personality with his increased prominence. He is shown to be ready to help his friends with whatever they need, such as retrieving a bag of sprinkles, and will do what he can to assist. Parfait also shows great care about his friends' wellbeing, such as in "It's My Purr-ty", where he is the first to ask Custard what's wrong when he sees her acting all mopey. As revealed in "A Berryworks Mystery" and demonstrated in "Pets to the Rescue", Parfait loves eavesdropping around the Berryworks when he's not with Lime Chiffon.

Parfait is depicted as a green parrot with pink and green wings. He has a pink beak and talons. His eyes are surrounded by pink plumage that forms a shape akin to flower petals.
Berry in the Big City[]
Parfait appears to be a different parrot species compared to his original incarnation, with a less fluffy appearance. He has normal orange for his beak and talons. His plumage is now dark green with light green accents, and a blue tip at his tail. His eyes are lime green and the surrounding plumage is stylized to look like square glasses, matching his owner. Parfait wears a small green vest with a dark green outline.

- Parfait is one of the few pet characters to remain with their original owner across all their appearances, with the only other instances of this being Custard with Strawberry Shortcake, Hopsalot with Apricot, and Marza Panda with Almond Tea/Tea Blossom.
1980s[]
- Being a parrot, Parfait is one of the few pets in the series who can talk directly to his owner. He shares this ability with the Berry Birds.
2021[]
- According to Margarita Valderrama, Parfait is a huge gossip seeker which is why he eavesdrops around the Berryworks[1]. As she puts it: "if you’re gonna have a Latina berry you know she’s going to be looking for that chisme!" (chisme means gossip in Spanish). This also implies that Parfait usually gossips with Lime about what he heard while eavesdropping.
