Lucky Berry is the 33rd episode of the first season of Strawberry Shortcake: Berry In The Big City. It premiered on April 23rd, 2022.
Summary[]
Strawberry Shortcake proves to her friends that her Lucky Spoon is indeed lucky.
Plot[]
Strawberry sweeps the pavement around her truck as she hums to herself. Custard hops onto the counter and grabs a glob of cookie dough, tossing it at Strawberry when she's not looking. Strawberry notices and quickly slices the dough into several pieces, perfectly catching it in her Lucky Spoon, impressed with herself. Strawberry then overhears Orange Blossom calling Pupcake's name, watching her friend chase her dog over to her.
Strawberry greets Pupcake, and takes the comic book he was holding out of his mouth, guessing that it belongs to Orange and not him. Orange explains that Pupcake keeps taking her favorite things to get chased around, and she isn't a fan of it. She takes the comic book back and asks what Strawberry and Custard are doing. Strawberry casually answers by saying that Custard is just helping her train with the Lucky Spoon by hurling dough at her head when she's not looking. Orange is weirded out, commenting that country berries do weird things with their pets.
Strawberry doesn't get why that sounds weird, saying that the spoon is lucky and that it's been passed down from baker to baker to her. Strawberry swears that the Extraordinary Berry would not be successful without it. Orange questions if she believes this and tells Strawberry that people like them are successful because of hard work, not some silly old spoon.
Cutaway: Strawberry Shortcake questions what's so silly about believing a spoon is magical, lucky, looking out for her, wants the best, and loves her for who she is, all while clutching the Lucky Spoon close to her.

Orange begins to tell Strawberry something else, when Pupcake suddenly snatches the Lucky Spoon from Strawberry's hand and runs off. The two girls immediately give chase as Pupcake runs out of the Berryworks. Orange tells Strawberry that they'll get her "normal, not-lucky spoon" back, but Strawberry retorts that she doesn't know it's not lucky.
Strawberry starts singing "More Than One Way" as they chase Pupcake into Golden Delicious Park, telling Orange that life's worked out for her through having luck and trusting fate. Orange chimes in by telling Strawberry that hard work is how one gets through life rather than putting it up to chance. As they sing, the two come across obstacles that they navigate with their respective beliefs, Strawberry through a lucky occurence, like randomly dodging a frisbee because she picked up a four-leaved clover, or crossing a river by hitching a ride on a passing boat. Orange through her athletic skill, like pole-vaulting a small cliff over the river with a nearby stick, or tossing away a rock blocking her path. The two then sing about the way they do things differently and that it's okay, as they both still manage to find a way to accomplish their goals. The two begin working together to catch Pupcake, luring him out with a hot dog they bought, and continue chasing him. Eventually, they spot him up in a tree and climb it to the top... but he turns out not to be in the tree as the song ends.
The branches they were standing on snap and the two girls fall to the ground, where they find Pupcake chewing on the hot dog stick they grabbed earlier, having dropped the spoon nearby much to Strawberry's relief. She questions why the spoon brough them here, but Orange incredulously responds that it was Pupcake who brought them there, not the spoon. Kiki Keylime, who had walked past the girls, notices and greets Strawberry. Strawberry excitedly responds and asks if she remembers her. Kiki confirms, telling Strawberry that she's the hard-working berry with the "fab truck" at the Berryworks. Orange takes note of the "hard-working" part, using it as confirmation for her views.
Kiki mentions she was just thinking of where to shoot the next episode of Bite of the City and asks if the Berryworks would be a good place. Strawberry excitedly agrees. Kiki is glad to hear it and says her goodbyes to the two girls, Strawberry excitedly says her goodbyes too. Kiki adds that she was lucky to run into her and leaves. Strawberry takes note of the "lucky" part, using it as confirmation for her views. Orange insists it's just a coincidence as she grabs the spoon.
Just then, a studio executive walks up to the two girls, telling them that she's looking for extras in the new Tangerine Smash movie, and asks if either are Tangerine Smash fans. Orange immediately accepts, telling the executive she's a huge fan of Tangerine Smash. Strawberry makes a remark, noting that she just had her point proven. Orange Blossom begins to reconsider her opinion on the Lucky Spoon, realizing it may be lucky after all, as the episode ends.
