"I can't work with no rules! This is chaos! I quit!" -- Lime Tart threatens to quit.

Lime Tart is a minor antagonist introduced in Strawberry Shortcake: Berry in the Big City Season 2, making her debut in LemonLime Back in Time.

General[]

Lime Tart is a limeade vendor and a recurring antagonist throughout Season 2. She used to be the business partner for Lime Chiffon before the events of the series, and the two co-owned the All-Time Lime Cart. However, after being fed up with Chiffon's supposed disregard for rules (in reality, Lime Tart was being a perfectionist to an unreasonable degree), she quit on the spot and stormed out of the Berryworks

At some point, she met up with Lemon Tort, the former business partner of Lemon Meringue. The two became friends and joined up as business partners, running the Lemonade Parade together. Throughout Seasoon 2, the duo would appear in opposition to the Berry Besties, competing against them in an inventing competition and getting in Strawberry's way while setting up their food trucks for Poachella. Neither Lime Tart or Lemon Tort appeared in Season 3.

Appearance[]

Lime Tart is a Latina girl with brown skin, dark green hair, and green eyes. She wears bright cool green cat eyeglasses and overall dresses very professionally, borderline uptight. Her hair is worn in a ponytail and she wears a lime-green button-up shirt with pagoda shoulders, a blue bowtie and buttons, a blue skirt with lime-shaped patterns along the hem, and lime-green flats with blue bows.

Personality[]

Lime Tart is a perfectionist with high standards. Her first scene has her yell at Lime Chiffon for supposedly stacking limes chaotically (which she wasn't), complaining that the limes weren't organized by size and ripeness first, even closing their cart entirely until Lime Chiffon fixed it. Later, she quit because she couldn't handle the "chaos" of her business partner. She seems to have mostly dropped this after becoming partners with Lemon Tort, rarely complaining about something not being perfect. The only time her perfectionism has come up since was in Parking Problems, where she and Tort stole a parking space from Strawberry, since that spot was supposedly the perfect location for optimal food truck performance at Poachella.

Lime is also extremely uptight and snooty. In her debut she yelled at a customer for mistakenly ordering lemonade from the All-Time Lime Cart, and banned him because she'll only cater to "lime aficionados" only. She also shows a bit of a catty and smug side to her in Berry Competitive, when she trash-talked the Berry Besties before a competition, telling them that she would wish them luck but it would only give herself an advantage.

Surprisingly, she and Lemon Tort appear to be good friends, despite their respective traits being the ones the other hates the most. During the inventing competition in "Berry Competitive", the two worked together and flawlessly built their invention quickly and efficiently. The only time Tart and Tort came into conflict was in "Parking Problems", where the two briefly argued over the usage of a "turbo turbo-boost" for their cart, however the two resolved their argument by the end of the episode.

Trivia[]

  • Unlike other characters Lime Tart's design doesn't change between the flashback and modern-day episodes. She shares this with Lemon Torte and a few customer characters.
  • She shares a fruit theme with Lime Chiffon and Dr. Lime Pops.
  • She is, in a few ways, Lime's less practical and nice counterpart, especially grouped with Lemon Tort to contrast Lemon Meringue and Lime Chiffon's partnership.
  • Parking Problems is the only episode where Lime Tart does not encounter Lime Chiffon. LemonLime Back in Time is also the only episode where she and Lemon Tort are not working together.
  • Lime Tart can briefly been seen in line for Strawberry Shortcake's food truck in "The Legend of the Crystal Cupcake", which also makes it her only appearance without Lemon Tort, and the first where she isn't playing an antagonistic role.
