Let the Good Times Roll is the season finale of Season 2 of Strawberry Shortcake: Berry in the Big City. It premiered on 18th March, 2023.
Summary[]
Strawberry Shortcake’s friends want to go to a roller-skating park, but roller-skating and Strawberry don’t exactly get along…
Plot[]
Strawberry Shortcake talks about a secret she has about making cupcakes to Apple Byte. Apple is satisfied with the info she gathered for a baking game which makes Strawberry happy for her contribution to the game. Apple talks about the summary she has for the game, which is called Baking Bad: Cupcake-pocalypse which surprises her. She departs from the Extraordinary Berry and tells her that she has a meeting at Starfruit Express and Strawberry's friends overhears this. Bread tells all of her friends to go to the Starfruit Express as well and Strawberry is excited to go but doesn't know the place so she asks her friends what it is. Raspberry Tart explains to her that it's a roller skating rink which triggers a negative response from Strawberry. She tries to make an excuse saying that she's busy but her friends read through her lie and asks her to tell the truth. Strawberry reveals that she can't skate and she doesn't want to learn how to.
The next scene cuts to her friends bringing her to the skating rink and Strawberry is regretting going there. Orange Blossom asks her if she remembered telling Apple that she's always up for new adventures but Strawberry says that she wants to without wheels on her feet and Lime assures her saying that she won't be bad at it. A montage plays of Strawberry failing to skate and constantly falling over. Strawberry irritatedly tells the audience that she tried to tell them that she can't skate and sulks near the rink. Orange tries to encourage Strawberry by telling her that the Strawberry she knows never gives up and Strawberry negatively replies telling her that she does give up easily and tells her to skate without her. Orange reminds Strawberry that she's known for always helping others when they need it and reassures her that someone who often helps others can get help once in a while.
The song Let the Good Times Roll starts with Orange telling her that life is not easy and the rest of her friends help her learn how to skate. Even her friends' relatives, her other friends and her aunt helps her learn how to skate and have fun at the rink. Strawberry eventually overcomes her fear of learning how to skate and finally tries to skate, with some help from her friends. Although she may not be the best at skating, she is still happy to get better at it and finally overcome her fear of failing and learning. The episode ends with her main friends coming up to her support when she slips while skating, ending the episode's song as well.
