Let's Go to the Movies is the 39th episode of Season 2 of Strawberry Shortcake: Berry in the Big City. It premiered on 11th March, 2023.
Summary[]
Orange Blossom and friends go to see a new movie starring her favourite superhero… if only she could enjoy it in peace!
Plot[]
Orange Blossom is excited to see the new Tangerine Smash movie with her friends. Strawberry Shortcake notes that Orange is very ecstatic to see the movie and hopes it lives up to her expectations. She finally enters the theater and Strawberry notices that Huckleberry Pie has a lot of snacks with him and asks why he has so much. He tells her that it's because of the order he wants to eat them for the movie. Lemon Meringue was about to eat her cheese nachos until her seat gets kicked and drops her food. She looks over to see who did it and sees a guy repeatedly kicking her seat and minding his own business. Lime Chiffon points out her confusion as to why nobody can recognize Tangerine Smash and Tangerine Drizzle when she removes her glasses and switches it with a mask and Orange tells her that it's because their alter egos have completely different vibes and gets interrupted by the guy sitting behind Lemon.
He introduces himself on a livestream as Pineapple Clafoutis live streaming the new Tangerine Smash movie and points out several negatives about the movie. Orange wonders why he's in the theater if he doesn't like Tangerine Smash, Strawberry points out that Blueberry isn't in the theater despite being with them. Blueberry Muffin wonders what's bad about ketchup and jalapeno ice cream and wonders into to the wrong movie. Strawberry, without noticing that she went to the wrong movie was unable to find Blueberry.
Lime continues reading the comics and points out that Tangerine's powers aren't scientifically accurate and then sees Huckleberry eating his snacks loudly. Lemon's seat gets kicked again and sees Pineapple insulting the franchise again and asking his audience to subscribe to his channel. She gets frustrated and invents something. Strawberry walks back into the theater telling Orange that she still couldn't find Blueberry, the next scene shows Blueberry watching a romance movie with nobody in it.
Orange gets fed up with everything around her and exclaims how tonight was supposed to be perfect watching her favorite movie with her friends but everything is not going how she wanted it to be. Strawberry tries to encourage Orange by telling her that things always goes wrong for super berries as there are bad guys, disasters and asks her what would Tangerine Smash do right now. Orange tells Lime to enjoy the movie and that she'll explain everything later. She goes to Huckleberry and tells him to eat quieter, she was about to tell Lemon to put her tool away until she shows her an invention called the Toxic Boxer 2000 and plans to assault Pineapple with the gadget before being stopped by Orange. She tells Pineapple that he's being rude and to put his phone away, she also mentions that girls makes awesome heroes which makes him leave the theater in a panic.
Everyone in the theater cheers for Orange and Strawberry is proud of her. After the movie ends, Lime expresses her appreciation for the movie and hears Blueberry talk about the movie she accidentally saw instead of the Tangerine Smash movie. Strawberry tells her friend that she went to the wrong theater and Blueberry asks if anyone wants to watch Tangerine Smash again and everyone agrees. Lemon accidentally activates the Toxic Boxer onto Huckleberry while cheering and apologizes.
