Johnnycake Cobbler is a minor villain you see, in Strawberry Shortcake: Berry in the Big City. A seemingly normal salesberry, of fantastic wares who's flashy and showy. But in truth he's a con artist with cheap trinkets galore, who scams any berries who visit his store. He also loves to speak entirely in rhyme, and tries to do so most of the time.
General Information[]
Johnnycake Cobbler made his debut with glitz, in "Johnnycake Cobbler's Sensational Sweetening Spritz". He proclaimed himself a helper of berries and bakers, as long as they purchased his fantastic taste-maker: A spritz that makes any dish great, he quickly won the crowd, who just couldn't wait. Even Strawberry Shortcake got in on the fun, but Raspberry Tart could see through his stunt. Johnnycake then made a major mistake, by proclaiming Kiki KeyLime hated to bake. Shortcake and Tart, now wary of his tales, worked together to make sure he failed. They found out his scam surrounding his spritz, it was just water and brown sugar, and tasted like the pits. They exposed his lies to his customers that day, forcing Johnnycake to flee and run away.
He made his grand return with a new catalogue in "Strawberry Shortcake and the Beast of Berry Bog". At the Fun Fair he tricked berries with a rigged ring-toss game, but was kicked out by Crusty Muffin and forced to leave with shame. When news of the Beast and it's rampage spread amuck, Johnnycake used it to make a quick buck. He sold scared berries trinkets of cheap, which he claimed would repel the monstrous creep.
He made one more appearance (his last, by the way), in "Strawberry Shortcake's Perfect Holiday". He joined with his brother, the Purple Pieman, and together the two hatched a nefarious plan. It's Winterswirl tradition to bake cinnamon cookies to share, so Johnnycake got to work stealing them everywhere. With no cookies or cinnamon to use, Pieman and Johnnycake had an infalliable ruse. They could sell the cookies to the berries in need, and would become renowned for their "heroic" deed. While Johnnycake was happy to help his brother this time, he was still angry Pieman made him stop speaking in rhyme. But the two bit off more than they could chew, when they messed with Strawberry and crew. The two tried to steal the cart of a vendor, who still had cinnamon and cookies of splendor. The brothers were caught by Lemon Meringue in the act, who alerted her friends to go on the attack. The two were captured and Bread reported their crimes, while poor Johnny was still forced to not speak in rhymes.
Appearance[]
Johnnycake Cobbler is a tall ginger man, with features that match his brother, the Purple Pieman. With his long nose and thin chin, along with blue eyes, it makes their relation less of a surprise. His hair is orange and at the ends is curly, the color is shared with his square goatee. His hair has sideburns and reaches down to his shoulders, he seems middle-aged but not that much older.
He wears a white chef's toque, adorned with gems that look bespoke. The colors and size switch between big red and small green, are diamond in shape and have a noticeable sheen. His jacket is long, reaching down to his knees, with pale gold epaulets to appear stylish with ease. His jacket has a white collar and cuffs, the former is adorned with gems a-bunch. The jacket is striped, vertically as can be seen, alternating between purple and lime green. Underneath the jacket he wears a pale gold waistcoat, tied with an orange ascot, all over a white shirt, just to note. He also has a very prominent gut, covered by the white shirt from which it juts. To top it off, he wears dark purple pants with white-and-purple sneakers, with gold laces, dark soles, and a thin look to seem sleeker.
Personality[]
Being a scam artist who lies with glee, he loves tricking and stealing from everyberry. He has tons of charisma and boasts a lot, though is easily annoyed when someone questions him or his products. While he spins tall tales about his adventures abroad, it's very easy to tell he's a fraud. He fails to consider details in his plan, which his enemies exploit to ruin his scams. In his debut he claimed to visit Berryville, but when Strawberry asked questions, things went downhill.
His products are found to be cheap very quick, so he disguises the shoddiness with flashy theatrics. He loves showmanship and flair, which can lead to acting without care. In "Perfect Holiday" he gave himself and his brother a team name, despite how easily it would expose their game. Johnnycake also loves speaking entirely in rhyme, and will do so all of the time. In the same special, Pieman became tired, and forced Johnny to stop rhyming, much to his ire.

- Johnnycake cobblers are a cornmeal-based flatbread with various fruit filling, making his colorful design extremely fitting.
- He is the first new villain who came to be, ever since Licorice Whip from the Series of 2003.
- Johnny and Pieman have a sister who is Sour Grapes' mother, and is mentioned to be far more competent than both of her brothers.[2]
