"Oh, I could tell you stories! Sweetie, remember when Lime wanted to stay up, and fell asleep in her mashed potatoes? She woke up with a potato mustache!" -- Fluffy Chiffon tells a story which makes his daughter annoyed in Berry Bounty Banquet Part Two.
Fluffy Chiffon is a character in Strawberry Shortcake: Berry in the Big City. He makes his debut appearance in Berry Bounty Banquet Part One, which gave him a cameo; his first speaking appearance is in Berry Bounty Banquet Part Two, increasing his role further. He would later make appearances in other episodes.
Biography[]
Sometime before the events of the series, Fluffy Chiffon married Lime Pops, and had Lime Chiffon as their daughter. Fluffy Chiffon became a famous fashion designer.
In "Berry Bounty Banquet Part One and Two", Fluffy Chiffon introduces himself to the other families as one of Lime Chiffon's dads, as he briefly attempts to make conversation while they stand outside of Praline's apartment door, but the situation quickly grows awkward. When Strawberry reveals that a freak accident destroyed their apartment and ruined the Berry Bounty Banquet, Fluffy Chiffon and the other families all laugh it off and comfort Strawberry by telling her that the dinners are never perfect. Fluffy recalls a past banquet where Lime Chiffon attempted to stay up late, and fell asleep in her mashed potatoes. He and the rest of the families all help repair Praline's apartment, with everyone celebrating the holiday over takeout and pizza.
"Bread Pudding's New BFF" reveals Fluffy Chiffon is a famous and popular fashion designer of haute couture clothing, and Bread Pudding is a huge fan of him. Strawberry admits she was unaware of this. Bread admits that his attempts to be nice to Lime Chiffon were only to get in good graces with her, so she would convince Fluffy to get him a limited edition all-weather waistcoat that Fluffy designed. Lime ended up overhearing the conversation, and when Bread Pudding apologizes to her, and admits that he wants to be a genuine friend to her, Lime calls her dad in to give the waistcoat to Bread, allowing him to meet her father in-person.
Fluffy Chiffon was among the audience in “Bake Off”, watching Strawberry and Raspberry compete against each other.
Fluffy Chiffon, alongside his husband and daughter, compete in the "Berry Bounty Bolt". Lime Pops and Lime Chiffon decide to run barefoot after reading that others cultures did the same to reduce track time, which Fluffy acts incredulous at, as it means they wouldn't be able to wear matching "Rick Ovens" running shoes. Fluffy wears them anyway during the race, and briefly pulls a "told you so" at his family when they burn their feet on the hot pavement. Fluffy then accidentally steps on a pile of gum, causing him to react in horror as he cradles his ruined shoes. Lime Pops tries to comfort him, while Chiffon is annoyed that he's focused more on the shoes than her. The three eventually cross the finish line, and as all the families begin to leave, everyberry immediately doubles over aching, exhausted from the strenuous physical activity of running across the entire city.
At "The Mint Gala", Fluffy is hired by famous model Banoffee to design a dress for her. His initial design is met with awe by Lime Chiffon and Strawberry Shortcake, and he expresses great pride in the dress. The Purple Pieman, angered that Fluffy never agrees to design his Mint Gala outfits, takes revenge by spilling grape juice on the dress. Fluffy freaks out, as he, Lime, and Strawberry attempt to salvage it to no avail. Fluffy breaks down crying at the potential humiliation he'll suffer from the incident, as Strawberry tries to comfort him with some advice from her Grandberry Jam, which Fluffy dismisses by telling Strawberry that Grandberry Jam doesn't have a recipe for a stunning runway gown. This inspires Strawberry, who immediately bakes a dress-shaped cookie, reinvigorating Fluffy as he uses it as the basis for his new dress design. When Banoffee arrives, he initially tries to temper her expectations by admitting it isn't what they agreed on, but she tells him to stop talking as she loves the new dress. Banoffee and the dress end up becoming the talk of the Gala, which angers Pieman.
In "Let The Good Times Roll", Fluffy can be seen among some of the other adults as they catch Strawberry before she falls while rollerskating.
In “Strawberry and the Gigantic Cake“, Fluffy was one of the attendees at Banoffee’s birthday party at the Cumin Time Museum.
In "Any Way You Slice It", Fluffy invites his daughter to an exhibition showing off Cocoa LaChelle's new line of fashion dresses, unaware that Lime Pops already invited Lime Chiffon to attend an exhibit on rock candy, causing Lime Chiffon to panic as she wants to attend both events, but doesn't want to disappoint either of her fathers. At the end, Fluffy and Lime Pops run into each other, wondering why the other was there. Lime Chiffon then interrupts, as she decides that she wants all three of them to attend an exhibit at the Cumin Time Museum detailing the history of fashion, allowing the entire family to spend time together while still bonding over their shared interests. Fluffy and Lime Pops tell their daughter that they enjoy spending time with her the most, the two husbands kissing each other and hugging Lime Chiffon.
In "Berry Bounty Bust", Lime invites Strawberry and Aunt Praline over to share a Berry Bounty Banquet, and tells them that her dads don't cook, which the two interpret as an offer to make the banquet. However, when they arrive it turns out that Fluffy Chiffon and Lime Pops catered the food instead. Fluffy and Aunt Praline immediately begin arguing over whether Fluffy's catered food or Praline's homemade dishes should be served for the banquet. Their anger continues to escalate, with Lime Pops, Lime Chiffon, and Strawberry retreating to the kitchen to get out of the tense situation. Fluffy and Praline continue to argue until the three return from the kitchen and begin eating bizarre food, causing the two to stop fighting and ask why they're eating those when there was perfectly good dishes already ready at the table. Strawberry and the Limes remind their family that the food isn't what matters with a Berry Bounty Banquet, it's spending time with those you love that's the most important part. Fluffy and Praline admit that they got carried away, and the families settle down, sharing both banquets, with the bizarre food mixed in too.
Appearance[]
Fluffy Chiffon is on the heavier side with dark skin and light green square glasses. He has dark green eyes and hair, the latter being styled in what resembles dreadlocks with an undercut. He also has some facial hair on his chin. His hair could possibly be dyed, due to his eyebrows, facial hair, and cut part of his hair being dark brown and not green. He wears a very dark green polo shirt with lime green buttons and a tied light blue sweater over his shoulders. His shirt has a tie with a lime slice on it. His pants are light green and he wears lime and dark green boots.
Personality[]
Fluffy Chiffon has an overall jolly attitude, recalling fun stories of his daughter. He is kind and helpful, not judging Bread Pudding when the latter wears Fluffy's jacket backwards in Bread Pudding's New BFF. He is a proud and talented designer, he knows it but does not seem to be boastful of that. He's flamboyant and definitely stylish. Fluffy also cares for his creations, shown when the Peculiar Purple Pieman devastates him by spilling his drink on Fluffy's creation for Banoffee to get her disqualified in The Fashion Show and when Fluffy ruins his new shoes (which were bought by him to look fabulous) by stepping in gum in Berry Bounty Bolt and cries over his ruined footwear.
Fluffy does carry a sense of pride, which can lead to issues when he believes someone is challenging him, such as in "Berry Bounty Bust", when he and Praline began arguing over whose dinner should be served for the banquet.

Lime Chiffon[]
Lime Chiffon is Fluffy Chiffon's daughter and he loves her, and seems pretty close to his daughter. Lime might occasionally be embarrassed by him but she genuinely thinks her dad is cool, he is famous after all. Fluffy likes to reminisce about when Lime was a child and has fond memories of her.
Dr. Lime Pops[]
Dr. Lime Pops is Fluffy Chiffon's husband and they are happily married and have a positive relationship. Despite their differing interests, they enjoy spending time with each other most of all.

- Fluffy Chiffon and Lime Pops are the first confirmed gay characters and couple, but they were not the first to appear in general. Mr. Mangosteen is technically the first gay character in the franchise, but he was only confirmed to be gay in later episodes after Fluffy and Pops' debut.
- Despite his name not having limes, Fluffy Chiffon shows a lime theme in his clothing with his colors and the lime slice on his clothing.
- His name comes from a light, airy type of baked good. In his specific case, his dessert motif might be based on a chiffon pie, which is "a type of pie that consists of a special type of airy filling in a crust".
- Fluffy Chiffon's name is also a reference to "chiffon fabric", which is characterized by its lightweight and fine mesh qualities. Fitting, due to his fashion designer career.
