Figgy Pudding is a character from Strawberry Shortcake: Berry in the Big City. She owns many businesses across the country, and is the former owner of the famous Berryworks, having handed ownership over to Crabapple Jam in Season 3.
General Information[]
Figgy Pudding is the owner and head manager of the Berryworks, along with many other tourist destinations. She let her son work at the Berryworks as the assistant manager, and is noted to have very high standards for the businesses she runs.
In her debut episode, "Figgy Pudding", she performed a surprise inspection on the Berryworks. She ultimately is dissatisfied with Bread Pudding's management and prepares to remove him from his position, until Strawberry stands up for Bread, telling her that Bread shouldn't be fired and that the Berryworks is successful because of him. She initially tries to argue back, but stops when Strawberry says that Bread Pudding is her friend. She thinks for a moment, and ultimately decides to allow Bread to stay. She tells him that if his friends are satisfied with his management, then she is too, before leaving to inspect her next business.
At some point before "Crabapple Jam", Figgy Pudding gave ownership of the Berryworks to Crabapple Jam. In Hot, Fresh & Trending, Bread Pudding is paranoid that Crabapple will fire him if the Berryworks isn't trendy, and faints when he worries about what his mother will say, indicating she still wants Bread to keep his job at the Berryworks.
Appearance[]
Figgy Pudding is an adult woman with fair skin, brown hair, dark brown eyes, and a sharp jaw line with a pointy chin. She wears a big puffy coat that's brown with a purple plum pattern and purple heels. She has matching purple plum earrings. She wears pink lip stick as well, overall looking very refined and rich compared to many.
Personality[]
Like her son, Figgy Pudding is very snooty and stuck up. She has very high standards and is quick to criticize whatever doesn't meet them. She believes that her employees should always be prepared for her surprise inspections, as Bread was only informed about the inspection seconds before she arrived. Bread likely inherited his snobbish attitude and micromanaging tendencies from her, and it is directly shown that his "helpful hints" are stuff that Figgy Pudding also regularly says.
While she did give Bread Pudding his job as the Berryworks manager, she is still hard on him and holds him to the same high standards she does everything else. But despite this, she does care about her son and wants the best for him. It is implied that Figgy is aware of Bread Pudding's lack of friends, as hearing Strawberry and the Berry Besties call him their friend legitimately shocked her, and it was what made her reconsider her decision to fire him after that. It is likely she let him stay at the Berryworks so he wouldn't have to leave his new friends.
Pets[]
She has a Pomeranian(?) named Creampuff who wears a purple bow to match his owner. He has light long fur and purple eyes, with a matching purple heart shaped nose.
