Deliveryberries is the seventh episode in airing order of Berry In The Big City Season 2. It premieres on July 30th, 2022.
Summary[]
Strawberry Shortcake and Raspberry Tart are swamped with orders and have no time to deliver them! Luckily they know just the berries to help them out
Plot[]
Strawberry Shortcake and Raspberry Tart run back and forth across the screen, helping each other with their baking.
Cutaway: Strawberry Shortcake explains that she and Raspberry are collaborating for a special Pair-a-Berry Pie. She goes on to mention they have so many orders the two can't deliver them. Luckily, Strawberry knows a berry.
Huckleberry Pie asks who has two thumbs and a Berryoke Wagon that makes deliveries, before proudly declaring it's him. One of the back tires suddenly pops off and rolls away, and the driver's side door falls off as well. Raspberry refuses, but Strawberry vouches for Huck and says he's very reliable. Back with Huck, he forgot to unbuckle his seatbelt before getting out of his cart, causing him to faceplant onto the ground.
Cutaway: Raspberry Tart explains that their order goes to Fruitleg Alley, and nothing can go wrong with Caramel Tartufo's pies. Luckily, Raspberry knows a berry.
Bread Pudding declines, pointing out that he's too busy. He also refuses to work with Huckleberry, who's currently chasing after the wheel from his cart. Raspberry pleads with Bread, telling him she needs someberry smart, punctual, and fabulously responsible to keep an eye on Huckleberry, who still hasn't caught the wheel. The two stare at each other.
Cutaway: Bread Pudding acknowledges that Raspberry is just flattering him to get what she wants, but admits that it's working.
Bread agrees to help. Huck then rises up from the bottom of the screen (holding the wheel), eagerly smiling.
The two boys begin walking to Fruitleg Alley, Bread telling Huck that they need to follow his plan exactly to get the pies delivered on time. He tells Huck there will be no questions and no conversations, before noticing Huck is at Mr. Mangosteen's fruit stand. He runs up to Huckleberry, adding that they can't make any unscheduled stops. Huck sets the pie boxes onto a nearby moped, and explains that Mangosteen was telling him that foxberries are in season, holding up a bag of them. Bread tells Huck they don't have time for foxberries and tries to get back on track, before noticing that the pies are missing. The two look around, and realize that Mangosteen's deliveryboy accidentally took them when he drove away on the moped.
Bread and Huckleberry immediately give chase, Bread yelling for the deliveryboy to give them back the pies, and Huck adding in a "please". Bread gets a call from Strawberry and Raspberry, who ask how he's doing. Bread nervously tells them everything is under control, but Raspberry is skeptical. The deliveryboy hits a pothole, causing the pies to be flung into the air. Bread tells the girls he'll call them back and hangs up. Huck tries to catch the boxes but fails, Bread swooping in to catch them all himself. Bread breathes a sigh of relief, while Huck tries to compliment him on his gracefulness, but Bread has none of it and berates Huck for nearly causing a disaster as he shoves the boxes into Huck's arms. Bread pulls out his phone and begins looking up directions, and then notices Huck wandered off again, entering the Funnelcake System with Mrs. Crumbcake. Bread crushes his phone in his hand and growls in frustration as he follows Huck.
Huckleberry finishes telling Crumbcake a cheese joke as he carries one of her grocery bags into the Funnelcake train. Crumbcake thanks Huck for his help and for the joke, offering him some of her extra nutmeg as a thank-you gift. Bread yells Huck's name, and Huck explains that Mrs. Crumbcake gave him some thank-you nutmeg. Bread angrily remarks, asking if she has any focus-on-your-job ginger to go with it. Huck doesn't catch on and tells Bread that he's pretty sure that isn't a real spice. Bread tries to leave but ends up walking right into the doors just as they close. Bread expresses a feeling of pain as the train begins to leave.
Cutaway: Bread Pudding wonders if he's being punished, frustratedly noting that it feels like he's being punished.
Bread growls in agitation as he and Huckleberry exit the Funnelcake System. Huck tries to assure Bread that Caramel Tartufo will understand why they're late.
Caramel Tartufo does not understand why they're late, angrily telling them that saying he's been waiting all day would be an understatement. Huckleberry tells the Crumbfather that he and Bread could make excuses, but life's real adventure is the journey, so they made sure the pies went on an adventure so big, Tartufo would taste the journey in each bite. Caramel Tartufo decides to accept the nonsensical answer, and tells the boys their business is concluded. Bread nervously and quickly tries to drag Huck away, but he proceeds to ask Tartufo if he smelled billberries. Tartufo confirms this, as Caramela Éclair brings out a bag. He tells the boys that the billberries recently "fell" off the back of a truck, and they're welcome to take it on their way out. Huck is overjoyed, while Bread facepalms.
Back at the Berryworks, Raspberry asks both Bread and Huckleberry why they took so long with the delivery. Bread apologizes, telling her he tried to get there on time, but Huck kept getting sidetracked. Raspberry asks Strawberry why she chose Huck to be her delivery, and Strawberry just asks her what ingredients did they need for tommorow's pies. Raspberry reminds Strawberry they need nutmeg, billberries, and foxberries, but doesn't see what that has to do with her question until Huckleberry hands Strawberry the ingredients he gathered throughout the episode. Strawberry tells Raspberry that's why Huck is her deliveryberry, thanking him. Huck tells her not to thank him, but Bread, because he was the one who kept Huck from wandering off too much, and if it weren't for him he isn't sure where he would've ended up. Bread is perplexed, and Huck pulls him close, telling Bread that he'll teach him how to be a deliveryberry just like him. Strawberry asks the boys if they can be her and Raspberry's deliveryberries tommorow. The two boys answer simultaneously, Huck saying yes and Bread saying no, but Huck tells the girls that Bread meant yes, ending the episode.

Trivia[]
- Bread Pudding receives his first and second cutaway segments where he talks to the viewer. His background is brown. This makes him the eighth main cast member to receive one, after Strawberry, Lemon, Orange, Lime, Blueberry, Huckleberry, and Raspberry in that order.
- He is the twelfth character to do a cutaway segment overall, after the previously mentioned Berry Besties, Aunt Praline, Cheesecake, and Caramela Éclair.
- He is the only main cast member whose cutaway background does not have a motif pattern, with the other Berry Besties having their namesake fruit (or musical notes in Huck's case) in a pattern on their cutaway backgrounds. Later Bread Pudding cutaways would amend this, giving Bread a brown background with a bread slice pattern.
- This is the first episode in the series, and quite possibly the franchise as a whole, to focus primarily on the male characters while the female characters, including Strawberry, play only a minor role.
- This is also the first episode in the entire franchise to be a "guys night out" episode. While Huckleberry Pie has received focus episodes in the past, he was also the only boy in previous shows so the girls would still play a major role. Since Berry in the Big City features Bread Pudding in the main cast, he and Huck are able to be the sole focus of the episode.
Continuity[]
- Strawberry Shortcake and Raspberry Tart have begun working together with their baking, now that they're friends rather than rivals.
- Caramel Tartufo is established to now be a customer of Strawberry's, likely due to the events of "Fruitleg Alley" when she correctly made his late mama's banana bread recipe.
Errors[]
- Caramel Tartufo's name is mispelled as "Caramel Tartuffo" in the credits.
