Crêpe Suzette (sometimes spelled as Crepes Suzette or Crepe Suzette), is a recurring character in the Strawberry Shortcake franchise. She is one of Strawberry's friends from Pearis, and is usually a talented fashion designer.
General Information
1980s Series
Crêpe Suzette was introduced in Strawberry Shortcake: Housewarming Surprise. She met and befriended Strawberry Shortcake when she stopped by Pearis on her around-the-world tour. Later, she and her poodle, Éclair, attended the house-warming party for Strawberry when she moved from her shortcake home into her Berry Happy Home. Crêpe joined Strawberry, her friends, and the new International friends in rescuing Lem and Ada from the clutches of the Purple Pieman and Sour Grapes.
2003 Series
Crepes Suzette returned for the 2003 series. Crepes was now a fashion designer from Pearis. She made her debut in The Friendship Club, when Strawberry Shortcake, Pupcake, and Custard visited Crepes after she received one of Strawberry's friendship letters. After an adventure rescuing Éclair from a dog catcher, she and Strawberry became friends. Crepes continued to appear for the rest of the series, alongside Strawberry's other friends from around the world.
In the toyline, Crepes had a younger sister, Cherry Cuddler, who was introduced during the Playmates Toys era. Cherry Cuddler never appeared in the cartoon.
Strawberry Shortcake: Berry in the Big City
After a fourteen year-long absence, Crepe returned in Strawberry Shortcake: Berry in the Big City, debuting in Season 2 episode Fashion Forward. Crepe Suzette is an aspiring fashion designer, who Bread Pudding and Lime Chiffon noticed during their weekly fashion brunch when they saw she was wearing a waistcoat that Lime's father designed. The two were left in awe at how she altered the design to be a shorter and sleeveless top, and immediately decided to befriend her. Crepe was happy to make their acquaintance, and even more so upon learning the two loved fashion as much as she did. Lime invited Crepe to their fashion brunch, only for Bread to tell her that it's happening in an hour. Crepe accepted the invitation and left to get ready and take more photos for design inspiration.
When she returned for the fashion brunch, Crepe immediately noticed something was off, and asked Bread and Lime if they were truly comfortable with all the trendy alterations they had made to the brunch. The two admitted it wasn't their style, only doing it to try and impress her, but Crepe tells them that she doesn't like it when berries pretend to be avant-garde to impress her, and she just wants to get to know the real them. Bread and Lime were more than happy to ditch the avant-garde brunch, and treated Crepe to a regular one, where the three have tea, chocolate croissants, and read through fashion magazines.
Crepe would continue to make further appearances, usually hanging out with Bread and Lime. In Season 3, she's also revealed to be a talented roller-skater, and is one of few berries who can pull off the Triple Tiramisu twist.

Berry in the Big City
Crepe Suzette is an aspiring fashion designer who knows a lot about the fashion industry, given that she owns the waistcoat Fluffy Chiffon designed, and was able to alter it to her own preferences. It’s part of why she befriended Bread Pudding and Lime Chiffon so quickly, as they also love fashion and admire how stylish she is.
She shows herself to be very nice and friendly to new berries, like when she first met Bread Pudding and Lime Chiffon. Her impressive sense of style leads to other berries trying to impress her by acting avant-garde, but she’s fully aware of this and dislikes it, preferring to get to know berries by how they truly are.
Pet
Crêpe Suzette's pet in the 1980s and 2003 series is a poodle named Éclair. She does not appear in Strawberry Shortcake: Berry in the Big City.
Trivia
General

- She always speaks English with a heavy French accent.
- Along with being a skilled fashion designer, she is also a good chef.
- Crêpes suzettes are crêpes made with an orange-based sauce. However, none of her incarnations ever feature orange in their theming.

- Her outfit is meant to evoke the stereotypical portrayal of French people, who are often depicted wearing a striped shirt and beret.

- She is the only incarnation to retain the accented "ê" in her name like the real-life spelling of her namesake. Future incarnations would drop it entirely.
2003
- She has a little sister Apple Dumpling's age named Cherry Cuddler, who likes ballet. She only appears in the toyline, however, and the cartoon makes no mention of Crepes having siblings.

Berry in the Big City
- She is the first incarnation of the character to be black..
- She is the only International Friend to appear in the series.
