Caramel Tartufo is a character from the Strawberry Shortcake: Berry in the Big City series. He runs the notorious secret market in Big Apple City called Fruitleg Alley and is Caramela Éclair's father.
General[]
Caramel runs the infamous secret market in Big Apple City called Fruitleg Alley. Strawberry, along with Orange and Raspberry visited Fruitleg Alley to purchase soursops, meeting Caramel Tartufo face-to-face to negotiate a deal. After Orange and Raspberry tell Caramel upfront that they won't take any price above market value, Caramel takes it as a sign of disrespect. Before he can respond, he takes a bite of his favorite banana bread, a recipe from his late mother, but is angered at it being baked incorrectly, to the point where he nearly kicked everyone out. However, Strawberry instantly identified the problem and offered to rebake the banana bread, earning his favor and gratitude after she made it correctly. Caramel gave her the soursops and allowed Strawberry and her friends free access to Fruitleg Alley as his honored guests.
Appearance[]
Caramel has a warm complexion with a neat greying brown hairstyle. He has bushy eyebrows an dark brown eyes. He wears a black suit with a beige collar, a brown bowtie and black shoes.
Personality[]
Because of Caramel and his business' reputation, he is seen to be a menacing and intimidating by others. As seen in "Mission Unfrostable" where the Purple Pieman appeared terrified over his appearance to his store.
Despite this, he is a kind-hearted man when he's in a good mood and is very loving towards his daughter, Caramela. He is also shown to have had a good relationship with his late mother, as he mentions her fondly and is greatly enranged if anyone makes her baking recipes incorrectly.

- Caramel Tartufo is based on Don Vito Corleone from "The Godfather", in appearance and his mumbly voice, which clearly takes inspiration from Marlon Brando's performance.
