Candy Candy clerk (also just called Candy) is a shortly shown character in the Berry Merry Christmas holiday special from the 2003 era of the series. He's an elf who works in a candy cane store, which Strawberry Shortcake visits to find a gift for her friends. The main conflict of the place is that there's too many candy canes being produced and people are eating too many, thus not having any room to eat their christmas dinners.
Working along with Candy in his candy cane making factory are other elfs, but their skins tones are a ligh purple color, also wearing different clothing from Candy. These elves seem to see Candy as some sort of manager, for while the other elves are carrying baskets of candy canes, he is managing the production of the product; but that dynamic is not clarified.
Not only is the production of candy canes unmatched (with around 10.000 candy canes being made an hour, when their machine is at full capacity), their canes are also seen as the world's best candy canes in the universe of Strawberry Shortcake. Although they are known for their canes, their shop also sells cookie cutters in various shapes, such as angels, christmas trees, candy canes, stars and other unidentifiable shapes.
Appearance[]
Candy is short with beige skin, a large nose, sharp ears that stick out a bit, brown hair, and brown eyes. His hair is short and he has a beard to go with it. He wears a striped cone shaped hat, striped pants with built in feet, a vest, short sleeved shirt, and bow tie, all of which are colored with yellow, light pink, and dark pink. He has a pencil hanging on his ear as well.
Personality[]
Candy is an overall wholesome feeling character, though is shown to be worried and a little pessimistic. He also appears to not like his name, as he points out that it has too much candy in it, much like his shop. As many characters in this special, he wasn't really fleshed out, but we can infer he's appreciative of others from how he reacts to Strawberry's help, and he at least attempts to be more organized due to his reactions to his overrun store and the pencil behind his ear.

- Much like Carol Carol he has a double name.
- Unlike the majority of other elves who are green, blue, and light purple in skin tone and hair, he has a beige skin tone and brown hair.
