Brian Drummond (August 10, 1969) is a Canadian voice actor. He is the voice of Caramel Tartufo, and the current voice of Mr. Sun, along with being one of the few returning actors in the franchise.
Biography[]
Brian Drummond was born on August 10th, 1969, in Salmon Arm, British Colombia.
He graduated from Langara College's Studio 58 theater program in Vancouver, initially starting as a theatre actor. Eventually, Brian made the jump to voice acting, which has since become his full-time career.
Brian Drummond has lent his voice to many well-known anime productions, including "Black Lagoon" as Benny, "Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex" as Saito, "Monster Rancher" as Tiger, "Powerpuff Girls Z" as Poncho, various characters in "Transformers' "Unicron Trilogy", and "Project ARMS" as Hayato Shingu. Perhaps his most famous voice acting role is easily as Vegeta in Ocean Group's dub of "Dragon Ball Z", thanks in large part to his iconic delivery of "IT'S OVER 9000!!!", which exploded in popularity in the 2000s as an internet meme.
Brian has also acted in many other cartoons, performing as "Geronimo Stilton" in his cartoon series, many different characters in "Barbie", "Bratz", "Littlest Pet Shop", and WildBrain's LEGO animated series', Dr. Claw in various "Inspector Gadget" works, Kurt Wylde in "Hot Wheels AcceleRacers", Knuckles the Echidna in "Sonic Underground", Dr. Eggman in "Sonic Prime", Spike in "My Little Pony (G3)", Filthy Rich in "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic", Death in "The Hollow", Carver in "Storm Hawks", and Garu in "Pucca".
In 2008, Brian Drummond played a minor Berrykin in the pilot episode for Strawberry Shortcake's Berry Bitty Adventures, though he never played a character in the series itself.
In 2021, Brian Drummond returned to the franchise as the voice of the narrator in Strawberry Shortcake: Berry in the Big City minisode "Meet The Pets", and in 2022, he became the voice of Caramel Tartufo and Mr. Sun (credited as "Mysterious Narrator/Sun).
Brian Drummond is married to fellow voice actor Laura Drummond, who also voices Crabapple Jam in Berry in the Big City. They have three children, all of whom are voice actors as well. He has two daughters, Brynna and Ashlyn, and a son named Aidan, who also happened to be the voice for Huckleberry Pie in Berry Bitty Adventures.
