Bahia Watson (May 15, 1992) is a Canadian actress, voice actress, and playright. She is the current voice of Orange Blossom.
Biography[]
Bahia Watson was born on May 15th, 1992, in Carman, Manitoba. She was raised in Winnipeg by a Canadian father and a Guyanese mother.
She had a love for song and dance in her childhood, and "kind of stumbled into acting" according to herself. She was around 16 years old when she first began auditioning for films, and grew interested in an acting career from there. Around this time, Bahia was also in an artist residency program created by dub poet d'bi young (her name isn't capitalized), where she would meet longtime collaborator Liza Paul. The two would go on to found Paul Watson Productions, creating cabaret stage shows together such as "pomme is french for apple" and "Mashup Pon Di Road". Common themes that show up in her writing focus on identity, colorism and tokenism.
One of Bahia's first onscreen roles was in the obscure music video "Potion". She would go on to act in many notable live-action works, as May in "Star Trek: Discovery", Sakai in "The Expanse", Serena in "The Archivists", and Brianna in "The Handmaid's Tale".
Aside from theater and live-action, Bahia Watson is also a prolific voice actor. She debuted as Kasha in "Mysticons" and has also voiced Bailey in "Clifford The Big Red Dog (2019)", Leshawna in "Total Dramarama" (which also won her an ACTRA Award for Outstanding Voice Performance), Lettie in "Big Blue", Kayla and Shiloh in "The Loud House", Polaris in "Superkitties", Ruby in "Zokie of Planet Ruby", and Misty Brightdawn in "My Little Pony (Generation 5)".
In 2021, Bahia Watson became the voice for Orange Blossom in Strawberry Shortcake: Berry in the Big City.
