Aunt Praline is a character from Strawberry Shortcake: Berry in the Big City. Her goal is to help her niece, Strawberry Shortcake, become the best baker.
Biography[]
In Strawberry Shortcake: Berry in the Big City, Aunt Praline is Strawberry Shortcake's kind aunt who lives in Big Apple City and acts as Strawberry's parental figure during her stay. She is currently allowing Strawberry to live with her and is helping her to become the best baker in the world, even lending her niece her old food truck to help her get started. She often gives advice to Strawberry whenever she is struggling, feeling down or needs help.
She works for Mayor Molasses as chief of staff, and often has to play heavy assistance for him due to his ineptitude. One of her responsibilities is to listen to proposals for new projects and deciding to approve them.
As of "Aunt Praline's Sweetie Pie", she is dating Kiki KeyLime, the host of Bite of the City.
Appearance[]
Praline has a warm complexion with short, dark red hair with lighter highlights. She has dark green eyes and a beauty mark near her left eye. She wears a green medium length sleeve top with a green scarf over it and a short, light green pencil skirt. She also wears dark blue leggings underneath and blue heeled boots. She has gold triangle earrings and three gold bracelets on both her wrists.
Personality[]
Aunt Praline is sassy, positive and witty woman. She knows how to handle stressful situations like final minute decisions, but can be quite over reactive and destructive when very distressed. She is a very supportive aunt as she helped Strawberry start her career in Big Apple City, she also gives helpful advice to Strawberry whenever she needs help.
She works as the chief of staff for Mayor Molasses. As is mentioned numerous times, the mayor is incredibly incompetent, relying heavily on Praline. She doesn’t seem to mind much, though does find it irritating if she’s referred to as his assistant
She also deeply despises insects, as it's the reason why she moved out of Berryville. She'll go into great lengths like tearing her apartment down just to get rid of one as seen in "Catch that Cricket".

- She is the first adult family member for Strawberry Shortcake. The first character related to Strawberry was Apple Dumplin' in the 2003 series and Berry Bitty Adventures.
- Aunt Praline works with Mayor Molasses as the Big Apple City chief of staff, however her job was only specified in "Granola Crunch".
- In "Catch That Cricket!" she mentions Strawberry is her only niece.
- Aunt Praline is the first sapphic character to ever appear in the franchise, having been revealed to be attracted to women in Season 3 episode "Aunt Praline's Sweetie Pie".
