Apple Byte is a minor character introduced in Strawberry Shortcake: Berry in the City. She[1] is an aspiring game developer.

General Information[]

Apple Byte makes her debut in the Season 2 finale Let the Good Times Roll. She visited the Berryworks to get baking tips from Strawberry Shortcake for her new video game she's making about baked goods turning evil, "Baking Bad: Cupcake-pocalypse".

She enjoys rollerskating, as she makes most of her appearances at the Starfruit Express rollerskating rink. She is also friends with Crepe Suzette, as the two teamed up for The Big Apple City All-Skate Competition.

Appearance[]

Apple Byte has short light green hair that's styled in a pixie cut and has olive green eyes. She wears a red jacket with rolled-up sleeves and a white shirt with a green controller print on it. She also wears long beige pants, green sneakers, an orange-ish red beanie, and green glasses.

Personality[]

As she only has a combined total of three lines, she doesn’t show much personality aside from being extremely passionate about developing video games.

  • Alex Einstein, Apple Byte's voice actor and also known as InquisitorMaster online is a popular Roblox YouTuber known for her videos with her friends playing various Roblox games and playing other games, roleplaying stories and making reactions videos.
  • Apple Byte being a video game designer is likely a reference to her voice actor running a let’s play gaming channel
  • Apple Byte is one of the characters that share a fruit with another character, as she and Apple Dumplin' are both named after apples. Others include Cherry Cuddler and Cherry Jam, Plum Pudding, and The Sugar Plum Fairy, and Peach Blush and Peach Trifle.
  • She was first revealed in a InquisitorMaster video, where Alex says that the Squad is partnering up with Strawberry Shortcake to promote their Roblox game and that she will be voicing Apple Byte in the upcoming episode.
  • Her last name is a pun on “bite”, as in a bite of an apple, and “byte”, as in a unit of memory size.
  • As her gender was never actually stated in her debut episode, combined with her rather androgynous appearance, it led to some confusion over whether she was a boy or a girl until showrunner Michael Vogel confirmed she was female.
