Andrea Eva Libman (July 19, 1984) is a Canadian voice actress. She is the current voice of Lemon Meringue and Sherry Bobbleberry. She holds the current record for the longest tenure of voicing a Strawberry Shortcake character at nearly 11 combined years of voicing Lemon Meringue (that's a quarter of the franchise's existence!).
Biography[]
Andrea Libman was born on July 19th, 1984 in Toronto, Ontario. She graduated from the University of British Colombia with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering.
She began her acting career at an early age, appearing in several notable shows such as "X-Files", "Highlander", and "Little Women". Soon, Andrea made the jump to voice acting, notably voicing the character of "Madeline" in her titular cartoon, based on a French book series.
Since then, Andrea has become an immensely prominent voice actor in Canadian-based casts. She's provided the voice of Chi Chi in Ocean Group's dub of "Dragon Ball", Emmy in "Dragon Tales", Harmony Bear in "Care Bears: Adventures in Care-A-Lot", Cathy in "Monster Buster Club", many characters in various "Barbie" animated movies, and Zipzee and Sweetie Belle in "My Little Pony (G3)". Her most famous roles are easily as Pinkie Pie & Fluttershy in "My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic".
In 2008, Andrea Libman became the voice of Lemon Meringue and Pupcake in "Strawberry Shortcake's Berry Bitty Adventures", first voicing the characters in the series' pilot episode "A Berry Grand Opening" and the Sky's The Limit movie. She would voice them for the entire series. In 2015, Andrea would also voice Sweet Grapes, voicing her for Season 4. She was succeeded as the voice of Sweet Grapes in 2018 by Kaylin Lee Clinton.
In 2021, Andrea Libman returned to the franchise for "Strawberry Shortcake: Berry in the Big City", surprisingly reprising her role as Lemon Meringue, becoming the first ever Strawberry Shortcake actor to reprise a character across multiple generations. She was also succeeded as the voice of Pupcake by Tabitha St. Germain.
